My Lazy Girl Routine for Looking Put Together Every Single Day

The “I Woke Up Like This” Routine That Makes You Look Put Together FAST

Let me guess!

More often than not, you’re hitting that snooze button a fewww too many times in the morning. Then, you’re trying on five different outfits, your hair isn’t cooperating, and you end up settling for a look that feels totally blah because you need time for a coffee and a breakfast before you head out that door!

And it’s not that you don’t want to look put together. You do. You just don’t have the time (or energy) to spend 45 minutes getting ready every morning.

Here’s what changed everything for me:

Looking put together isn’t about doing more in the morning. It’s about doing less! Because you already set yourself up the night before. (cue the “ooohhhh”’s)

This is my exact “lazy girl” routine that gives full I woke up like this energy—without actually trying in the morning.

The Real Secret: Do It Once, Benefit Daily

Most people are stuck in this cycle of:

  • Wake up → scramble → try things on → redo hair → feel rushed → leave annoyed

But the girls who always look effortlessly put together?

They’re not trying harder.

They’re just not relying on their morning energy to figure everything out.

Instead, they’ve built a system where everything is already decided.

Step 1: Your Night Before Reset (This Is Everything!)

This is where the magic actually happens. And no, it doesn’t need to take forever!

You’re not adding time to your routine. You’re just shifting it to a moment when you’re not rushed.

1. Heatless Curls Overnight

If you haven’t tried heatless curls yet, this is your sign.

You go to sleep looking slightly ridiculous and wake up with done hair. That’s the whole vibe here.

No morning styling. No tools. No effort.

Just take them out, fluff, and you’re done.

Here are some brands that make it super easy:

2. At-Home Lash Clusters or Extensions

This one is so underrated.

Putting on lash clusters at night completely changes your morning face. You wake up already looking more awake, more gorgeous, more put together.

So instead of starting from zero in the morning, you’re starting from like… 70% done. There’s a slight learning curve but it’s really not that hard and it’s quick once you get it!

I love this brand on Amazon! It’s so easy and they really stay put for a few days for me!

3. Shower + Skincare at Night

Night showers > morning showers if your goal is making your morning routine QUICK.

You wake up clean, your skin is already prepped, and your morning becomes maintenance instead of a full routine.

I am not a crazy complicated wearing-a-face-mask-and-mouth-taping kind of girl (more power to you if you are)! But really the key is wake up feeling GLOWY.

First, I make sure right after I hop out of the shower I apply hyaluronic acid before my face fully dries to lock in moisture. Then, I do a touch of self tanner drops in my moisturizer for my face, neck and decolletage.

Lastly, I make sure my hair is about 80% dry before I go in with the heatless curls. So time your shower accordingly or hit your hair with the blow dryer for a few minutes before putting those in

4. Decide Your Outfit Ahead of Time

This is the part that used to completely derail my mornings.

Standing in my closet, trying things on, second guessing everything, ending up with a huge messy pile of clothes on the floor and bed you definitely don’t have time to put away… it’s exhausting.

So now? I don’t leave it up to my morning brain.

I decide ahead of time.

Or better… I don’t even decide anymore. (keep reading to see how! Suspense! 👀)

Step 2: The 5-Minute Morning Routine

This is where everything comes together.

Because you already did the heavy lifting the night before, your morning becomes ridiculously simple.

Here’s what it actually looks like:

  • Take out heatless curls → done hair

  • Wash face, brush teeth, light skincare and/or makeup (if you even want to) → done

  • Get dressed with my pre-decided outfit → instantly put together

No chaos. No decision fatigue. No outfit spiral.

Just… done.

The Game Changer: My Outfit Vault

Getting dressed used to be the most time-consuming and frustrating part of my morning.

Even when I had “nothing to wear,” I had a full closet. I just didn’t have actual outfits ready to go.

That’s exactly why I created The Outfit Vault!

Instead of standing in your closet trying to figure it out, you just open your Vault.

Your outfits are already there!

Features I made sure it had so that it’s insanely helpful for looking cute in a hurry:

  • Personalized outfit ideas that actually match your style

  • Save your favorites so you always have go-to looks

  • Plan outfits ahead of time (or even drop them into your calendar)

  • Works beautifully on desktop or on your phone when you’re half asleep

  • New outfits added daily so everything feels current, not outdated

It’s basically like having your outfits pre-decided for you.

And once you have that?

Getting dressed takes minutes!

The “I Woke Up Like This” morning can actually happen for you!

Night before you is a better person than morning you, and that is okay (LOL)! So give her the job of preparing for the next day. Do your low effort night time routine of shower > skin care > lashes > heatless curls. Then pick your outfit for the next day while you’re actually awake (not half asleep and strapped for time in the morning).
