Shouldn’t I buy a more expensive diaper bag?

Maybe. Now there is zero shame in wanting, registering for, or buying the more expensive bag—I did! I loved the look of the Freshly Picked brand bags and knew for my registry I had to have some affordable and higher ticket items, I decided to “splurge” on the diaper bag. Mistake. I should have splurged on something like a good bottle warmer, the Dockatot, baby monitor (holy crap definitely splurge on this if you’re a high anxiety mom), etc. Hindsight’s 20/20. It’s super cute, it’s functional, but is it any better than the cheaper options out there? No, not it is not. And the cheaper options are also cute! So keep this in mind as you weigh your options!

This is my diaper bag. Like I mentioned above, it’s the Freshly Picked brand in the color Fig. I do like that it does come in a TON of cute color options and it’s definitely high quality. I honestly do wish it was a bit more functional and held more stuff though. Some of the options I am listing below have some amazing features that my pricier bag doesn’t!

Is A Designer Diaper Bag Worth It?

There are also some super chic designer and luxury diaper bags out there! If you are a luxury bag and designer bag kind of girl, a designer bag may be worth it to you! But given that you clicked on this post I’m going to guess you’re not exactly prioritizing your spending on a Gucci or Prada diaper bag. (Yes, they exist, and yes they’re fabulous!) So given that you’re game to find some cheaper, but still functional and cute diaper bags on Amazon, I’m going to go with no, not worth it! Especially because the options I’m listing below are chic and functional and way more affordable.

Can’t I Just Use a Regular Backpack or Bag as a Diaper Bag?

It has RAVE reviews, with some people who own the real deal and this Amazon version preferring the Amazon version! The design allows for lots of items to fit into it and it comes with stroller straps and an insulated compartment for bottles. The design is trendy and chic and there are lots of other color options. I loved this khaki green color but they have quite a few more color options, plus a larger size option as well.

This diaper bag has TONS of positive ratings and at an amazing price point! It also comes with a portable changing pad, has lots of great storage and compartments, insulated compartments, stroller straps, and a large back pocket that can fit your laptop. It comes in a few other pretty and neutral colors too.

6-Hafmall Multifunction Stylish Baby Bag with Stroller Hooks

Love the preppy look to this diaper bag with the buckle detail on the front. This bag is highly rated with reviewers mentioning that the straps are super comfortable, the bag holds SO much, and it looks stylish and chic too. It comes with insulated compartments and stroller straps. It does not come with a changing pad. It comes in a pink color too, but the black is definitely the more stylish of the two color options (IMO).
