In this blog post we are going to review all the best places to shop for affordable outdoor patio furniture and some of my favorite pieces and sets from each place for 2021!
I soooo WISH I was furnishing our “patio” this year! I put patio quotations because our patio is…. basically a very tiny square of overgrown mismatched pavers in our backyard. We bought our house last summer and let’s just say it was the INSIDE of the house that won us over. The yard and the exterior need some help! You find out pretty quickly that all the various improvements and updates you want to make are going to happen VERY gradually and you need to prioritize your projects! They add up along with all the other recurring and unexpected expenses that pop up! So unfortunately the outdoor patio furniture and just general patio upgrade I am dreaming of isn’t happening quite yet!
But a girl can dream! And help a sister out who IS ready to take the plunge and furnish her outdoor patio space for the 2021 season! If you’re anything like me, you want it to look trendy and expensive without actually having to shell out the cash on insanely overpriced outdoor patio furniture. Luckily there are tons of options that aren’t insanely priced.

This involves hunting down yard sales, hitting up sites like OfferUp, Facebook Marketplace, and accepting hand-me-down outdoor patio furniture from relatives and friends (We did this! My uncle’s old patio furniture is displayed so beautifully on our sad slab of patio right now!).
This post is for the girl who is looking to save, but she understands there is some cost involved when furnishing that outdoor patio space. I mean, it is furniture after all! Target just has SO MUCH. And it’s all SO GOOD. Their affordable outdoor patio furniture game truly cannot be beat! They slay in EVERY category, but most especially in patio furniture sets, outdoor bars and bar carts, and their famous accent egg chairs! So those are the things I will be sharing below for you to check out, but truly you could spend an entire day sifting through all the amazing outdoor patio furniture finds!

Walmart’s strong suit when it comes to affordable outdoor patio furniture is for sure their surprisingly chic and trendy patio furniture sets! When surfing through their selection, I was super impressed by a lot of the sets they have because when you think Walmart, you don’t typically think you’re going to find something that actually looks that classy! But Walmart is killin it! Sharing some of my favorite sets I found below.

4. Amazon
If you’ve read this blog before or you follow me on Instagram, you KNOW I love me some Amazon. I will say though that you’re not really going to find anything NEW of the outdoor furniture brands you’re seeing on these other sites I’m listing! A lot of these sites carry the same stuff, Amazon included. HOWEVER, you will also find knockoff versions selling for cheaper. Which could be good, but also could be bad! So if you’re hunting on these sites for, let’s say a Safavieh or Christopher Knight set you’ve seen at Walmart and Target, it’s not a bad idea to price compare on Amazon. BUT it’s also not uncommon for you to come across the literal exact same photo under some strange company name. THAT’S the knockoff. Stealing their stock photo and design? Unethical AF, but hey if the reviews are great and it’s cheaper, you ain’t totally mad about it!!
I also love Amazon for finding those random odds and ends you’ll need for the patio. Lights, citronella candles, umbrellas, etc etc. Let’s call them patio accessories. These are things you won’t realize you want or need until you have like 10 people coming over for a barbecue this weekend, so it’s nice to have Amazon Prime save the day with quick delivery and affordable options!

5. Wayfair
Can’t write a blog post on affordable furniture and NOT include Wayfair! Their patio furniture selection is of course huge! I love a lot of their pieces and sets and the price range can get a little high on Wayfair, but it also can be VERY affordable. It all depends on what your budget is.
Their bar sets are also amazing if you’re looking to have an affordable but nice looking little bar set up for your outdoor space!
I also love that they have a lot of outdoor remodeling stuff like tiles and deck slabs and even privacy walls for the DIY-er or someone trying to re-do their patio on a budget! I am definitely looking into those privacy walls because fencing our entire backyard just ain’t in the budget this year!

6. Overstock
I friggen LOVE Overstock. I have bought a lot of furniture from there and I’m telling you the quality never disappoints me! Their selection is huge as well as very similar to most other places on my list here. So again, alwayssss price compare across these sites! Sometimes there’s a sale happening or a coupon to be had or Amazon has a lower price that day for whatever reason so don’t just blindly purchase! Compare!
That being said, these were my favorites on Overstock right now. I would definitely say the outdoor dining sets are their strength! Loving their selection!

Ok so AllModern is actually a sister company of Wayfair, but it’s like the cooler, older sister. The styles are just more well, MODERN, if you wouldn’t have guessed by the name. But the prices are still pretty great! Definitely digging their selection of affordable outfoor patio furniture this season!
I also am loving thei routdoor rug selection! I LOVE throwing a rug down in most spaces. It’s a like a sickness, a room does not feel complete to me unless there is a rug. Even my carpeted basement has a rug on top of it. But I also LOVE the look of an outdoor rug on a patio! It makes the space feel more inviting and can add that little pop of something or help you to differentiate the sitting area from the dining area. Or just looks cute, whatever! You and I both don’t have to justify our need for an outdoor rug! Anyway AllModern has a great selection and I’m listing some favs below!
