Fall Fashion 2021 Trend Predictions
I know, I know, it’s July, but after scouring the entire lineup of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and hunting down the looks for less— I am seriously crushing on all the fun new trends for Fall 2021! Some oldies but goodies from last year, but some trends I’m picking up on are a bit newer!
Fall is the BEST season for fashion IMO. The beginning of Fall is so fun because the heat of the summer is starting to wind down, so we can bust out our boots and sweaters and fun layers without giving up our skirts, shorts, and dresses quite yet too! And you can hold a pumpkin spice latte as an accessory, and nobody is mad about that.
For me this year I am super hyped because by the time Fall rolls around I will no longer be pregnant so I can wear JEANS. It’s been a minute. Nobody is more excited to try and buy all the Fall fashion than a woman who has been pregnant all friggen year long! Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining, just excited I get to actually HOLD my baby and rock some cute clothes in the very near future.
I am covering all the trends from outerwear, to accessories, to shoes, and more! Also stay tuned for my Amazon and Target roundups I typically do every season of all the best trendy fashion finds for the season! Cannot wait to share all the sweater dresses, flannel, and cozy things, but I’ll hold off because I need to actually try these things on and like I mentioned it’s July and I am 9 months pregnant so we’re gonna hold on the Fall fashion try-ons for now. Fall Fashion 2021 Trend Predictions:
Shackets
I meannnn we knew this trend wasn’t a flash in the pan. Last Fall we saw the rise of the shacket and then we legit embraced it until Summer hit and it was too hot to wear them. Well in a few short months we can bust them back out. If you’re in the market for an affordable one I listed a few options under $40 below!
Chunky Boots, Sneakers, and Loafers
I live for this trend. It’s so fun and gives your wardrobe that edge while still being a great basic. And tbh as long as it’s not TOO chunky it can be a comfortable alternative to a traditional heel! I’m here for it! Listed some cute options under $50 below!
Coord Crop Sweater Sets
Love this trend so hard. It’s totally adorable and I love a good set that can be worn together or separate! More bang for your buck. Rounding up a few cute finds that are all under $35 below!
Chain Details
Seeing chunky chain jewelry and chain details on shoes and bags too! I’m totally digging it! I love the fun layered necklaces and bracelet stacks and also loving the chain details on shoes! Listed some cute options under $45 below!
Split Hem Sweater Skirts and Pants
Here for this comfy but cute trend! Noticed a ton of pants and midi skirts like this during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and totally fell in love! I’m also loving the split hem on the skirts and pants as well! Gives it a little somethin-somethin! Super cute and definitely a trend I will be trying out this Fall! Listed some cute under $30 options for ya below!
Quilted Bomber Jackets
The bomber jacket is back. I feel like it makes a resurgence every couple years and then goes into hiding again, but this time around they’re adorable and quilted and just the thing to pop on over your outfit for Fall! So many cute and affordable options out there too! The ones below are all under $40!
Printed Tights
Legitimately the most purchase item on my blog from last Fall through the end of last Winter were $20 faux Gucci printed tights (don’t worry I gotchu I listed them below!). I mean they’re super cute and we love a good statement piece that also extends our dress and skirt wearing into the colder months! Deffo buying multiple pairs to last me through to Spring! I listed the Gucci pair and some other cheap options below as well!
Sweater Vests
This trend kinda started happening in the Fall and then REALLY started happening in the Spring. Was rudely interrupted by Summer, but you can be sure it’s back in FULL FORCE for Fall because nothing screams Fall weather more than a basic bitch holding a pumpkin wearing a sweater vest. NOTHING.
Super Cropped Sweatshirts and Sweaters
This super crop trend intrigues me. I feel like I hated it when I first saw it maybe like last Winter? But then after the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale seeing them come as a set with some sweater dresses I was kinda into it. AND I also don’t hate it as like a really dressed down like throw on over your workout tank or wear as lounge wear type of deal either in like as a sweatshirt. So basically yes I’m a slave to trends and inception eventually takes over in my brain and here I am linking some finds for $50 and under for you below!
Sweat Shorts
I weirdly like this trend! I don’t know what it says about me that I thoroughly enjoy the like dorky Dad from the 90s aesthetic, but I truly do. Was way into the Dad sneaker trend and now these like bermuda length sweat shorts I am here for as well. Also I’m a sucker for comfort! These are semi-trending now and I predict they’ll continue to be until it’s way too cold at the end of Fall to wear shorts! Listing some cheap options below all under $22!
Tennis Skirts / Skorts / Dresses / Aesthetic?
We saw tennis skirts crop up a TON in the Spring, and it’s such a Fall vibe too and literally pairs so well with so many of the above trends so I think we’re gonna see a lot of this trend! I also see a ton of like tennis related graphic sweatshirts and tshirts and socks and all the things trending right now. I also love the Tennis dress trend happening rn! I see a ton of influencers recently wearing an Abercrombie version that they’re toting as the comfiest thing ever and great for throwing on by itself or layering and it’s such a fun comfy but preppy vibe. I don’t typically love Abercrombie prices so I listed some Tennis related options below that are all under $45! Actually playing tennis though? Now you’re askin a lot.
Shoulder Bags
Early 2000’s aesthetic alert! But these bags really just disappeared from existence once crossbody’s hit the scene but now everyone is back on their shoulder bag bullsh*t and honestly it’s a vibe that I’m here for. This isn’t exclusive to Fall but I predict it continuing to be a trend this season for sure! Listed some cheap options under $50 below!
