What is the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale exactly?
If you’re not familiar with the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale (AKA the #NSale as you’ll see it referred to on Instagram) it’s the annual sale that Nordstrom has in the summer with alllll the best / trendiest items that you’re going to want to add to cart for your Fall wardrobe!
I am a huge big fan of this sale because it gets me HYPED for all the Fall fashion trends, and it’s also the best deal you’re going to get on a lot of these normally much more expensive items!
#NSale 2021- The Full Scoop
For 2021, Nordstrom is continuing SOME of the changes it adopted last year! Thanks to that bitch Carol Baskin, I mean—COVID19! Last year the sale was pushed to August instead of mid-July. And Nordstrom axed the catalogue and did a full online preview of what the sale included before the sale went live.
This year the sale will take place mid-July, but they will continue the trend of giving a full online preview (yay!). I’m listing all the important dates you need to know below!
PS— there’s levels to this sh*t. When you get access to the sale depends on your “Nordy Club” status. (insert eye roll here)
For us mere mortals/peasants, there’s free access to the sale by simply signing up and becoming a member. “Member” is the lowest level of this hierarchy. As you level up (AKA apply for a Nordstrom credit card and then spend more money) your access date gets earlier and earlier.
By having the earliest access— you run the lowest risk of the most popular items running out! However, people will return things, and Nordstrom definitely restocks throughout the sale. ALSO— if you’re super cheap like me then you can follow along here or on my Instagram (@champagneandsavings) where I will be posting even cheaper but similar items to the most-loved #NSale items! So if your favorite item is sold out, you can still get something similar for a great price! OR if you love all the trending pieces from the sale but still find the price to be out of range, you can totally rock the same look for much cheaper! Win-win-win in my opinion!

Currently: The Preview is officially LIVE! I sifted through everything and I am finding some really cute stuff! I will definitely be linking the Amazon/Target/Walmart/etc cheaper finds very soon! There are some repeat trends from last year for sure, some classic items that never go out of style that are on sale, and some new trends I am loving! I also am loving some of the home and beauty finds this year so I will do a separate category just for that.
I am really only sharing the best of the best after sifting through EVERYTHING. These are the items that I think are the must-haves if you’re trying to keep up with the trends this Fall! There was a TON of generic athletic wear/loungewear, a ton of makeup and skincare products that I just don’t know enough to tell if you they’re worth buying, and lots of just basic sweaters/tops/dresses/jeans/etc that I felt like you could totally buy elsewhere and not spend the ridiculous Nordstrom price, even if it is on sale! So these are all items that I think are super trendy, unique, and actually worth buying! AND if you’re still not digging the price but love it I will be sharing cheaper alternatives soon, so stay tuned for that!
SHOES:
My favorite category! Love love loveeee the classics like the booties and tall or over the knee boots that are included in the sale. But I am also super loving this whole lug sole and platform trend! I have my eyes on the platform Converse, the platform/ lug sole loafers (I need a pair, it’s now urgent), and I am definitely intrigued by lug sole / platform over the knee boots as a concept! Ok I am so straying from the skinny jeans, sorry!! But there are too many fun bottoms and pants out there that need to be worn. I am loving the split hem trend, and I am loving the sweater material pants and skirts! Check out all the trendy bottoms below and I say why not be fun and purchase bottoms that make a fun statement this Fall? And pray we aren’t in quarantine so you can rock them in public!

I am such a dress person, but I really do find that is has to either be a great price or like super unique for me to want to actually purchase a dress from Nordstrom. Both also works. I am OBSESSING over the sweater dresses in the selection this season! I love the cropped sweater over the bodycon sweater dress look! I think it’s a fun new trendy twist for this season without being over the top.

TOPS/OUTERWEAR:
I didn’t share too many tops just because I feel like so many are SO generic and can easily be found elsewhere for cheaper. So anything I am sharing below is just because I think it’s cute/unique or like a really high quality sweatshirt that is on sale for cheap! But the outerwear selection this season is really fantastic. Loving the bomber jackets, the “Dad” fit jackets, and the fact that the shacket trend is back for a repeat season! I have my eyes on this North Face Jacket simply because I don’t think they have ever created anything so cute before!! It’s refreshing LOL!

This is really just a mish-mosh of jewelry, bags and other accessories that caught my eye! I am loving that so many of the bags are travel oriented because we can finally do that again!

Just a few random home and beauty items that I think are worth buying if you’re looking for a glam touch in your home or to splurge on highly rated beauty products! The Olaplex system is tempting me since I will definitely be struggling with post-partum hair loss this Fall! I also am crushing really hard on that wine rack and it’s super cheap!
