If you’re chronically online shopping (and also your TikTok algorithm knows that about you), then you’ve probably been seeing a lot of hype surrounding Salomon sneakers recently.
The way they are being talked about is giving how people were talking about Adidas Sambas like 3 or 4 years ago, so I am predicting they’re going to be the next big sneaker trend for fashion girlies!
Whether you’re getting inundated with Salomon sneakers on your feeds daily like me, or you have no clue what I am even talking about, I am going to go through what the heck these shoes are all about and why they are likely going to be owned by every it girl you know.
What Are Salomon Shoes?
Salomon in itself is a sports apparel company that specializes in running and outdoor sports shoes. They were definitely intended to be a function over form type of sneaker, but since Gen Z loves an “ugly” and comfortable shoe, they are finding themselves gaining popularity with the fashion crowd now.

I think they are going to continue to grow in popularity simply because sneakers as a whole have become very socially acceptable to wear as a casual shoe. First it was the Nike Air Force 1’s, then Adidas Sambas, and it’s probably about that time in the trend cycle that a new shoe takes over. And I think that new shoe is going to be Salomons.
Also because of the rise of “gorpcore” which, I’m gonna be honest is a new term for me LOL. But gorpcore is essentially styling outdoor gear as everyday fashion. (hiking boots, cargo pants, etc)
Lastly, the celeb it girls are already wearing them, so there’s your big hint that it’s going to be a thing. Bella Hadid, Hailey Bieber, and Emily Ratajkowski have all been spotted wearing Salomon sneakers out and about.
How to Style Salomon Shoes
Now that we understand the vibes, figuring out how to style them is the next piece. I’m going to share some general advice here, but I also will share some easy to copy outfit ideas if you’re more of a visual person!
But my easy rule of thumb is if a ballet flat or a loafer would work for the outfit, then so too would a Salomon shoe! It’s meant to show a contrast between sporty-casual and feminine-polished elements.
For example, a white maxi skirt and cardigan with a pair of the chunky sneakers. Or wide leg jeans, a blazer and a pair of Salomon sneakers.
You also can easily work them into your more obvious athleisure looks because they are a sneaker at the end of the day! So they’re super versatile and you can get a lot of mileage out of them (both in and outside of your closet)!
