18 Summer Fashion Trends You'll Actually Wear (2026)
Summer is my FAVORITE season, so today we are diving into the summer 2026 fashion trends and predictions I am most excited about! If you loved my list of Spring fashion trend predictions, then you’ll love these takes for when the weather really starts to warm up and we can bust out our swimwear, shorts, and sandals for good!
Not only that, but if you follow along with my trend predictions each season, you’ll know that I only like to share trends that are actually wearable for us everyday casual girls! I am not interested in what the designers debuted on the runways (I understand it trickles down and influences what appears in-store), but I am way more interested in what we can shop and actually wear in an every day setting. And not at too high of a price!
Also, I never recommend totally ditching your existing wardrobe and being a total slave to what is trending. I supply this list because I think it’s fun to treat ourselves to 1 or 2 new items per season to keep your wardrobe current! So the idea is to find a few trends that feel like something you can get behind!

18 Summer Fashion Trends for 2026 You’ll Actually Wear
1- Capri Pants
Yep, they’re baaaack. It’s been a minute, but I’m telling you that you will be seeing capri pants EVERYWHERE for summer 2026. Easy hot girl summer uniform idea: baby tee + capri pants + flip flops. You’re welcome.
2- Satin Lace Shorts
This is the top of my shopping list to update my summer wardrobe. I love a comfy trend, and lace shorts for sure fit the bill. They give a chic yet sexy vibe since they look borderline like lingerie / pajama shorts, but also can be dressed up because of the satin material. So versatile, and so easy to style.
3- Asymmetric Lace Tunics
I mean I guess we could also just say lace details are a trend too, but these asymmetrical hem lace tunics are going to be every it-girl’s going out dress or top. You can belt it, wear it over pants (Y2K vibes to the max), or just wear it as a dress. So chic and fun and perfect for summer date nights.
4- Silk Scarves
Adding a printed silk scarf to your look is automatic cool girl points and so easy to do. Wearing it like a balaclava, tied around your neck, in your hair, on your handbag, using it like a belt, I am telling you the options are endless and so fun! It’s the easy it-girl accessory that can be super inexpensive (which we like).
5-Barrel Bags
The handbag trend that is too cute right now are these little barrel shoulder bags. Get one in a classic black or a fun pop of color for the summer. It will become your go-to going out bag for summer nights pretty quickly!
6- Beaded Bags
If you’re a girl who loves color, prints, and maximalism in general, then this summer bag trend is for you. There is a reason people go crazy hunting these down at TJ Maxx LOL. They are such a fun way to add a pop of personality to your summer look, and I’m sure you’ll be seeing bags like this everywhere this season.
7- Kitschy Prints
I love a sort of geek chic moment, and this trend is exactly that. These fun “grandma on vacation” prints are absolutely what you will want to pack for your 2026 beach vacation! You can rock it as a matching set, a dress, a top, you name it. Definitely a big trend that sort of emerged last summer, but I think will be huge this summer.
8- Polo Shirts
Polo shirts are making a comeback but this time they are not your average polo shirt! Cropped, feminine, and sporty styles are all in the mix, so you can style them so many fun ways and to fit your own personal style. This is a fun one to thrift too!
9-Butter Yellow
Butter yellow is the color obsession for summer 2026, which is so fun! We saw this color everywhere last summer, and it’s not going anywhere for 2026. Sunny bright matching sets and dresses are definitely not going to go out of style anytime soon, so I say embrace this one if yellow is your color!
10-Boxer Shorts
Boxer shorts were. my favorite fashion trend from last summer, and I think they are definitely sticking around for summer 2026. They’re cute, comfy, and can be styled for casual outfits or just thrown on over your bathing suit for an easy but trendy beach outfit!
11- Linen Shorts
Linen shorts are going to take over as the closet staple you’ll want to have. Of course I won’t be parting ways with my classic denim shorts, but I think these will be favored 9 times out of 10 when picking my summer outfits thanks to the old money aesthetic trend that has popped up over the last few years favoring a more simplistic, tailored looking style.
12- Flip Flops
I’m a flip-flop girl ever since my middle school Old Navy days, so I am loving the resurgence of thong sandals! Adding a little heel element can make it fun too for anight out, or keep it classic with a flat pair!
13-Bubble Hem
The bubble hem skirts and dress trend is all the rage right now! I love this because it’s something different that definitely hasn’t been around in a long time. Pretty sure my junior prom dress had a bubble skirt back in 2006? And that might be the last time I rocked one! So the long awaited return but with a chic elevated look is not something I am hating on!

14- Tailored Vest Tops
Absolutely loving this trend that popped up last year. And it is definitely sticking around for summer 2026. Another one inspired by the quiet luxury / old money trend. Looks cute in a matching set and mixed and matched with anything from jeans, skirts, shorts and more! Such a great closet staple that feels trendy and easy to style!
15- Petal top bikinis
Living for this trend because it’s a fun style that shows the girls a little love! The petal shape is a feminine twist and so flattering no matter your bust size! And I like that I can still rock my high waist bottoms and still feel trendy, since I am definitely seeing more of a rise in low rise bottoms, and personally I am unsubscribing from those for life!
16- Satin Skirts
Totally in love with this trend because it can easily be worn year round! Whether you want to pick a fun bright color, or keep it simple with a black or beige colored satin skirt, it looks so sophisticated no matter what you pair it with.

17- Polka dots
The year of the polka dot? It might just be! I love that polka dots are trending because it’s a fun, flirty but classic look that can be styled so many different ways!
18- Sheer & Lace Skirts
The lace / sheer skirt look is a trend that started popping up last year that is definitely in full force for this year! Pair with an oversized graphic tee, or but a slip skirt or shorts underneath and you look feminine but edgy all at once!
