When it comes to pitching these brands, keep it simple! Make sure that you put the focus on how YOU can serve THEM. Not the other way around! Nobody wants to work with a blogger that sounds like they’re just in it for the free stuff or the money! They want someone who is a true fan of theirs to spread the word about their product or service. So make sure you let them know how big of a fan you truly are and how working with you will benefit them!

10 Steps To Create A Killer Media Kit
When you create a media kit, the first step is to provide a clear headshot that is going to win the brand over! They want to know WHO they are working with. Make sure the photo is clear and represents your unique style!
You want to make sure there is NO confusion as to who you are when you create your media kit! Make your name big and bold, and then underneath you can put your niche! Also (this is true for every step of the way, make sure that your branding is consistent throughout. Try to stick to the same color scheme. And try to stick to just 2 fonts max!
When creating your media kit, this step is super important! You want to make sure you tell the brand a little about yourself, and about the audience you target and serve! Make sure to mention how a brand that you like fits into this equation. The brand will feel at ease that you create content that is relatable, targets who they are trying to target, and fits in seamlessly with your content. Behold the true power of influencer marketing.
Alright well we know what you’re all about, so the next step is to tell the brand what specific services you offer! In this next section of your media kit. List all the ways you can promote them! Different brands prefer different channels to target their audience, so being able to offer multiple makes you more appealing to work with!
Ok for this next step make sure it is an accurate depiction of your current audience! You can check your stats on your website through Google Analytics or the stats on your social media accounts to get a rough estimate of what your audience looks like! The hope is that whoever you are pitching has the same target audience as you! So this will be a determining factor for them whether or not they want to work with you. So make sure it’s displayed in your media kit! Adding cute little graphics helps to make it more pleasing to the eye and easy for them to break down all the information.
List your STRENGTHS in this section of your media kit. Which of your stats is the most impressive?? I think my engagement rate is much more impressive than my follower count. (Pssst always mention your follower count in your actual e-mail pitch, brands do need to know this) But for the media kit, you want to impress them! So whip out your best stats from your blog and social media sites for them to see.
If you’ve collaborated with brands before, now is the time to mention it! This section is also used to impress brands and have them trust you. If you have worked with other brands in the past, they can feel at ease working with you too. If you haven’t worked with any brands yet— that’s ok! Don’t add this section to your media kit just yet.
Make sure you put how to contact you!! You can never mention it enough TBH. I know you are literally e-mailing this from that e-mail you are listing but maybe the person you’re emailing saves media kits in a file so she can reference them for future collabs and clear out her inbox! You want to make it easy every step of the way for them to contact you!
Ya did it! You created your media kit, so now you are ready to attach it to your brand pitches! (I also recommend adding a section to your website just for brands to collaborate with you and adding your media kit there too!)
I 100% recommend using Canva to create your media kit! It’s free and so easy to make your media kit pretty and stand out! It’s one of the many free apps I recommend for fashion bloggers!
Happy blogging!!
