Trendy Bridal Shower Outfits for the Bride in 2027

Your bridal shower is one of those events where you get FULL permission to lean into being the main character.

And for 2027 the little white dress options have gotten SO fun yet chic.

You can absolutely go classic and feminine, but there are also so many fun options right now with lace, draping, cape details, drop waists, matching sets and even jumpsuits if a traditional white dress just isn't your thing.

I pulled together some of my favorite bridal shower outfit ideas for 2027 that feel bridal without looking like you're wearing a mini version of your wedding dress.

What The Heck To Wear To a Bridal Shower (For Guests!)

Let's find your dream bridal shower outfit!

Lace Hem Slip Dress

I LOVE this one for the bride who wants something romantic with a little bit of sexiness to it.

The top is pretty simple with the little lace trim and bow, and then you get that gorgeous sheer lace toward the bottom. It's giving bridal lingerie in the best possible way without actually looking like lingerie.

I'd keep the styling pretty simple since the lace is already doing a lot. Pointed toe heels, delicate drop earrings and a cute little bridal bag would be perfect.

For your hair, I love this with loose waves or a slightly undone low bun. Nothing too formal!

Draped White Jumpsuit

If you're just not a dress girl, PLEASE don't force yourself into one because you're the bride.

This jumpsuit is so freaking chic. I love the wide leg pants, but obviously the sheer draped detail across the shoulders is what makes the entire look.

I'd style this with metallic heels, a mini bag and some statement earrings. You really don't need much else.

And I would 100% wear your hair up with this one. A slicked back bun or low ponytail lets that neckline have its moment.

Strapless Trouser Set

Okay, how CUTE is this?!

The strapless top with the little covered buttons and split peplum makes this feel so different from the typical bridal jumpsuit. Then you have those wide leg pants balancing everything out.

I'd do a pointed toe heel or strappy sandal, gold earrings and a little structured bag.

I actually love the idea of wearing your hair down with this one. A big bouncy blowout would soften up the structured outfit and make it feel a little more fun for a shower.

Lace Trim Midi Dress

This one is for my romantic brides!

I love the little lace details around the neckline and sleeves, but the long fitted bodice is what makes this dress feel so current. Then it opens up into that full midi skirt and is just SO pretty.

I'd keep the shoes feminine with a kitten heel or pointed slingback and add some delicate jewelry.

You could absolutely wear your hair down, but I think a low bun with a few face framing pieces would be SO cute with this neckline.

Off the Shoulder Cape Mini Dress

If you want a simple little white dress but don't want it to be boring, THIS.

It's structured, it's chic and I love the asymmetry of it all with the cape detail in the back.

I'd keep everything else pretty sleek here. Metallic heels, statement earrings and a tiny clutch would be perfect.

Definitely pull your hair back so you're not covering up the shoulder detail!

Embellished Scarf Maxi Dress

This one feels very cool bride to me.

I love the little embellishments scattered over the top, but that scarf detail is what really got me. Paired with the long pleated skirt, it feels bridal without looking anything like a traditional bridal shower dress.

I'd do pearl or crystal earrings, simple heels and a small silver or white bag.

A sleek low bun would look SO good here and keep all of the attention on the scarf and little embellishments.

Draped Long Sleeve Maxi Dress

If you're having a fall or winter bridal shower, I LOVE the idea of going with a long sleeve dress instead of trying to make a summery white mini work.

This one is so good because the shape is super simple up top, but then you get all of that ruching and draping through the hip.

I'd pair it with a strappy heel, sculptural earrings and a little clutch.

This is another one where I think a big glossy blowout would look amazing. Very glam without looking like you're trying to recreate your wedding day look.

White Cape Mini Dress

I clearly have a thing for cape dresses right now, but COME ON.

This is basically the perfect little white shift dress with a cape attached. So you get a really easy silhouette, but it still has that dramatic bridal moment when you walk into the room.

I'd add a fun heel, chunky gold bracelet and a small top handle bag.

Hair pulled back into a sleek bun or ponytail would make this feel even cooler.

Chiffon Cape Midi Dress

If you don't want anything overly girly, this is such a good option.

There's no lace, bows, ruffles or anything super obviously "BRIDE!" happening. It's really the sheer scarf-like draping that makes an otherwise simple white midi feel special.

I'd lean into the minimal look with a sculptural heel, gold cuff and small bag.

Keep your hair sleek and pulled back and this whole thing would look SO chic.

Tailored Blazer Mini Dress

A white blazer dress for your bridal shower? YES.

I love this for the bride whose normal style leans a little more classic or tailored and doesn't suddenly want to turn into a lace-and-bows person just because she's getting married.

The covered buttons and fitted waist give it plenty of shape, so I'd keep everything else simple with pointed toe slingbacks, statement earrings and a mini bag.

You could go sleek with your hair, but I actually love a bouncy blowout here to make the structured dress feel a little softer.

Ruched Maxi Dress

This dress is SO pretty.

The asymmetrical off the shoulder neckline immediately makes it interesting, and then you have all of that ruching through the bodice before it drops into the long flowy skirt.

I'd do strappy heels, a small clutch and some fun earrings. You really don't need to pile on accessories with this one.

I'd also wear your hair up or at least swept back so you're not covering the neckline because that's basically the whole point!

Scarf Midi Dress

This is such a good option if you want something more minimal but still want people to turn around when you walk into your shower.

I LOVE that dramatic draping coming off the shoulder. It almost gives you the effect of a train without actually walking around your bridal shower dragging a train behind you LOL.

I'd style this with simple white or metallic heels, statement earrings and a small clutch.

And hair up FOR SURE. Do not hide that shoulder!

Ciffon Cape Mini Dress

Okay now THIS is a party bride dress.

You have the little white mini underneath, but that sheer asymmetric draped detail and cape in the over it make it feel so much more special.

I'd fully lean into it with strappy heels, chunky gold earrings and a metallic mini bag.

A high bun or sleek ponytail would be so freaking cute here and really show off the neckline.

Off the Shoulder Pleated Mini Dress

I love this one if you want something a little flirty and feminine without going overboard.

The off the shoulder neckline is SO flattering, and I love how the fitted bodice comes down into that little pleated skirt. It's cute, bridal and feels like something you'd actually want to wear again.

I'd do a kitten heel or slingback with gold earrings and a cute little bag.

This is one where I'd probably wear my hair down! Big soft waves would look really pretty with the off the shoulder neckline.

White Scalloped Skirt Set

Okay, this might be one of my favorites.

I LOVE that this is a set instead of a dress. The scalloped crop top is so freaking cute and then the long full skirt balances it out and makes the whole thing feel much more bridal.

I'd keep the shoes simple and have a little more fun with your accessories. Statement earrings, stacked bracelets and a cute bridal bag would be perfect.

For your hair, I think loose waves or a slightly messy updo would keep the whole thing feeling fun and not too formal.

What Should a Bride Wear to Her Bridal Shower?

Honestly? Whatever makes you feel the most like YOU, just in bride mode.

You definitely don't have to wear a tiny white mini dress if that's not your thing. You can do a jumpsuit, matching set, midi dress, long sleeve maxi or something super simple with one really fun detail.

I also wouldn't worry about making your bridal shower outfit look like your wedding dress. This is your chance to wear the silhouettes you love but maybe didn't choose for the actual wedding.

And have FUN with it! You only get so many socially acceptable opportunities in life to show up somewhere dressed head to toe in white while everyone celebrates you. Take advantage of it.
