7 Fall 2025 Shoe Trends You Need to Know
Fall is truly the most exciting season fashion-wise IMO. By the time September rolls around I am personally ready for all the cozy vibes and new outfit styling opportunities.
I find summer to be a bit of a bore fashion-wise because there’s not a whole lot of layering and experimenting you can do, especially when it’s insanely hot outside! A sun dress and sandals starts to get pretty boring.
But fall? She is THAT girl. Time to mix, match, layer and most importantly find the best shoe to go with it all!
So today I am sharing the top 5 shoe trends for fall 2025 that I think we will be seeing everywhere! These are going to go beyond the obvious like a pair of suede boots, Birkenstock clogs or Uggs (because duh). These trends are fun, fresh and could be you’re next hyperfixation!
For me, I like to pick one FUN shoe per season and then keep the rest of my shoe collection pretty basic. So you bet I would absolutely pull from this list for my fun shoe!

1- Boxing Boots
Okay this one is probably the one that feels sort of fun and different. I feel like the chunky chelsea boot / moto boot style is ready for a twist and this is just the thing! It’s like if a biker boot and a sneaker had a baby. The boxing boot feels edgy, fun and is giving fall vibes. I’m not recalling a time these have been in style in my lifetime, so I’m excited about this one!
2- Satin Ballet Flats
Satin ballet flats are the next big shoe fashion trend prediction and I love it! They’re classy, easy to style and comfortable. What’s not to like?
3- Loafers/Oxfords/Mary Janes
I lumped these all into one category because they all give the same vibe. This sort of dark academia / preppy school girl style shoe is all the rage this fall. It’s the geek chic footwear you need in your rotation. Go with a chunky black loafer, a fun pop of red mary jane shoes, or keep it classic in a pair of oxfords.

4-Transparent Shoes
This one is so much fun and has been really blowing up in the mainstream/ every day fashion scene. (Like normal people can find a pair at Target- not just runway models!) It was a huge trend for Spring and Summer and it certainly won’t slow down for the fall.
5- Clogs
I mean of course you’re typical Boston clogs will be in style, but more dressed up versions will be popular this season too! A cute pair with a block heel looks so cute with a pair of wide leg pants.
6- Retro Sneakers
Sneakers are a closet staple, but the trends change! Right now it’s all about that retro feel and having fun with colors! I’m personally eyeing up a fun burgundy pair to add into my fall shoe rotation.
7-Western Boots
Western style is still in for fall! So a cute wearable pair of boots with a western flair is the perfect fall shoe to pair with your outfits.
