Spring 2026 Fashion Trends You'll Actually Wear
We’re back at it again with another seasonal trend breakdown! I started doing these last Spring and they are by far my most popular topic on the blog! So if you want to check out last year’s Spring trends, it is fun to compare and see what has stuck around, and what has changed!
Spring 2026 is going to be a fun one, with a very obvious resurgence of 80s fashion being a major influence, you’ll see lots of fun colors, silhouettes, and nostalgic fashion pieces you thought were long forgotten becoming mainstream again.
My Hot Take on Trends:
If you’re unfamiliar with my stance on trends, I am very much a casual wear girl and like to do a more realistic take than what was seen on the runways during fashion week. Let’s be honest you’re not grabbing an avant-garde gown for school drop off in the morning. So all of these trends are things you’ll actually be able to wear day-to-day.
My other hot takes on fashion trends are that they are supposed to be fun, and you’re not supposed to be a blind trend follower. I like to pick and choose a few trends that speak to me every season, but other than that I’m not scared to stick with classics and even things that are no longer in style to build my wardrobe. Personal style is meant to be just that, personal! You gotta stick with what really feels like YOU.
So with that out of the way, let’s break down the top trends you’re about to see everywhere for Spring 2026:
1. Mesh & Sheer Everything
Sheer and see-through skirts, mesh flats, and peekaboo panels. You can go bold or keep it chill with sheer layers over basics. I love this for ballet flats and maxi skirts especially!
2. Crew Socks
The Gen Z style trend that’s been shaming millennials for the past few years is here to stay, but now we’re really leaning in. Crew socks with loafers or ballet flats are having a moment. Try it with a mini skirt or even over tights in early spring.
3. Peplum
Yep, they’re back. But this time, they’re more structured and cool. Try one with jeans or trousers for an easy outfit that still feels styled.
4. Capri Pants
If you’re a millennial like me, then you might be cringing at this one. But if you saw the heated discourse online over Whitney from SLOMW with her capris an Minnie mouse baby tee, then you already know. These are back baby! And people have strong feelings.
But whether you love them or hate them, they are here and part of the cool girl spring uniform.
5. Satin Lace Shorts
These started cropping up last summer, and I love this as a sleek replacement for the boxer shorts trend! They look like pajamas but are 100% a fashion statement. Pair them with a tee and sandals for a cute spring vibe.
6. Fringe
Fringe is going to be trending and you’ll see it a lot on hems, bags, and jackets in the spring time. The fringe tassel trend is also a different element seen on the runways that might just trickle down to every day causal wear too!
7. Silk Scarves
I am obsessed with this trend. It gives your outfit a little pop of personality. And you can get creative with it! Wear them around your neck, as a belt, on your bag, or even as a top. They’re the ultimate pretty little extra for spring.
8. Cropped Coats
Perfect for that awkward weather when it’s chilly but not cold. These give your outfit some shape and show off your waist. Long trenches are still in style, but these fun cropped versions are popping up everywhere as a cute casual alternative that is perfect for springtime.
9. Salomon Sneakers
The it-girl sneaker of spring. They’re sporty but fashion-forward. Wear with shorts, jeans, or even a dress for contrast. For some outfit ideas check out my post here on this trend and how to wear it.
10. Polka Dots
The polka dot trend is here to stay! I mentioned the nod to the 80s being a big influence, and this print just screams 80s to me.
11. Track Pants
Move over leggings, we’re opting for track pants when it comes to adding a comfy yet sporty vibe to our look this spring. Pair with a cropped tee or even a blazer if you want to dress them up a little.
12. Butter Yellow
The hot color trend from 2025 is going to still be a thing in 2026. Sigh of relief if you went all-in on this trend last year. But this color will be on everything from tops to dresses to nail color too!
13. Flip Flops
But make it fashion. Think leather, metallic, or with a heel. You can totally wear these out, not just to the beach.
14. Bubble Hems
Fun, flirty, and very "main character." The bubble hem adds volume and movement. So cute with strappy sandals.
15. Rugby Shirts
This is one of my favorite trends since I’m a casual girl through and through. Sporty but make it stylish. These striped shirts look great with everything from mini skirts to jeans.
16. Boat Shoes
They’re baaack. And here’s hoping they aren’t as stiff as the pair I rocked all of college in the 2010’s era. I am seeing more loafer-ish and suede styles (you know, the best material to wear on a boat LOL) and not just the standard Sperry classic boat shoe. Try styling with tall socks or bare legs.
17. Pencil Skirts
Not just for work! Pencil skirts are on the rise, and we’re trying to make it more fun than your standard office-style. Sequin, mesh, and satin styles are trending. Balance with a tee or oversized sweater.
18. Feathers
Apparently everywhere you looked on the SS26 runways, there were feathers. So we can probably see this popping up in mainstream too. On cuffs, hems, or full-on feather dresses.
I also saw a hairstylist on TikTok bringing back the feather hair extensions a-la 2012 era?! Maybe it’s my fear of birds, but It was a pass for me then, and I will be passing in 2026 as well if this becomes a thing. But a lot of people LOVED that trend so I could see it coming back.
19. 80s Fashion
It has to be noted that the 90s fashion trends have been the overarching theme for the past half a decade, so it only makes sense we would move on to a new one. We’re going to see a lot of waist cinching, shoulder pads and voluminous silhouettes, and fun colors and prints that just scream 80s. Now would be a good time to see if your mom saved anything from her youth that you could incorporate into your 2026 spring wardrobe.
20. Jelly Shoes
Yes, they’re back too! They’re nostalgic and surprisingly comfy. Great with denim or casual dresses.
21. Barrel Jeans
Wide and curved in all the right places. These jeans are comfy but still feel elevated. Try them with a cropped top or a tucked-in blouse.

22. Cerulean Blue
Does anyone else immediately think of that monologue from Devil Wears Prada? LOL! But cerulean is a bold, rich blue that is popping up on everything from dresses to activewear. I’m wondering if it will reach butter yellow levels of popularity, but time will tell!
Ok so these are the trend predictions- what do we think? For sure let me know in the comment section below which trends are exciting you and which ones you are boycotting!
I personally am so excited about polka dots, satin lace shorts, track pants, and silk scarves. You will find me wearing them constantly.
